Enduring to the end!

First Things First

It’s so important to take the time to consider God’s primary source of address on this eternally significant topic.  The Bible contains pertinent passages that give awesome information concerning our days—days just prior to the return of Jesus Christ.  Although this site is not exhaustive—there are other passages addressing His glorious return that are not quoted here—we do cite some of the shorter essential passages, ones crucial toward understanding the whole Counsel of the Word of God on this issue. (Some of the longer passages not quoted at length on this site due to specific copyright limitations include: The Psalms, The Old Testament Prophets including the Book of Daniel, I and II Peter, I – III John, Jude and of course, the Book of Revelation.)  In addition to the shorter passages quoted on this site, it's also important to read these longer passages, so be sure to get a copy of the Bible if you don’t already have one.  For a literal rendering of the text, the New King James Version, the New American Standard Bible and the New Revised Standard Version are excellent.  The English Standard Version is also well done.  Other quality English versions not employing the word-for-word philosophy of translation include the New Living Translation and the New International Version.  Due to  1) God's purpose behind revelation - communication,  2) translation and  3) textual concerns, the recommendation of versions immediately above is listed in preferential order.

Enjoy!  Simply observe the passages after asking God for help to understand them.  One warning though:  There are those today who do not let the Word of God speak for itself.  If you’re sincerely seeking God’s Truth that so wonderfully transforms, try to avoid reading anything into the passage.  Interpretations concerning what the passages might be saying are one way to possibly wander away from the Author’s intended meaning.  Instead, simply concentrate on what the passage is actually saying.  God gave His Word for the purpose of communicating crucial things, so He desires us to gain from the reading of His revelation to us—so much so that we’re even encouraged to pray for His help to understand!  Psalm 119:18

Here are the passages that are written out for your benefit:

          Matthew 24, 25                        John 14 – 16                I Corinthians 15

          I Thessalonians 4, 5                  I Timothy 4                   II Peter 3

                                                          II Timothy 3, 4

          II Thessalonians 2                     Titus 2                          I John 2, 4

As we rapidly approach the end of human history, take joy in God’s precious revelation of Truth!  Lord, we thank You for Your kind and generous Counsel!  We thank You that You bestow freedom therein.  May Your name always be praised.  In Jesus Christ’s holy and precious name, we pray.  Even so, come Lord Jesus.
